About Our Products
Howdy and thanks for shopping with Bird Crap Featherwear! Just so we can all be on the same page, we would like to explain a little about our business. We are a husband and wife duo that work 10+ hours per day 8 days a week, to create our beautiful feathered products for you. All our items are handmade with an immense amount of care and love, so when things are hectic in the studio (and they often are) we need a bit of time to create and process your order. Occasionally we have a couple wonderful gals to help us out when we get busy, but typically it is just the two of us in our 150sf studio. This being said, we love our customers, we love that you're excited about our products, and we love that you are understanding that it takes time to make such high quality items for you! So please, remain patient and your items will arrive as described below. Thanks for looking!
XOXO,
Geneva and Matt Bird Crap Featherwar
Shipping and Handling
PLEASE do not call us with questions that could have been answered by reading our policies, as these will make us cry! If you call or email us, and someone does not get back to you right away, chances are we have received an influx of requests and just did not have time to get back to yours. If this is the case, we are sorry, we are working as hard and quickly as we can to get your goodies to you.
Orders will be processed and shipped within 5-7 business days after payment has cleared. *Just a word* weekends are not business days. PLEASE, do not call us 2 days after you placed your order to let us know that it has not arrived yet. If I had access to the USS Enterprise, I'm sure Scottie would be thrilled to beam your order down, but I don't, and the United States Postal Service will have to do.
All items will be shipped using USPS First Class Mail, which takes 3-7 business days to arrive once it has left our studio in Portland, Oregon. All orders are wrapped in tissue, and sent in a hand addressed white box that works well for storage. All domestic orders include a delivery confirmation number that can be given to you upon request, please, just email us for this information (see contact info below).
***JUST A WORD... if you receive your order, and the box got a little dinged in the process, then it did its job to protect your items from harm. This is what packaging is for.
International Orders. Any customs duties, taxes, fees, etc that are charged upon delivery are your responsibility and are not reflected in my shipping charges. All international orders are shipped via USPS Registered Mail which includes a tracking number. I'm sorry, I do not send International orders any other way! Your package will be hand addressed and posted by me, please allow at least 30-60 days from the shipping date to receive your order, customs will sometimes hang on to orders causing delays, that are beyond our control. We do not ship to several countries in Eastern Europe, you will be notified and refunded if you are located in one of these places.
I can not and WILL NOT accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit!!!!
If you believe your item has been lost in transit, let us know your concern, and we will provide you with the delivery confirmation number. You can track the items status at www.usps.com or call 1-800-ASK-USPS.
If you need to upgrade the shipping to expedited it costs $20.00 extra to do so, you must contact us.
Returns and Refunds
All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges.
